The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has printed an additional 77,015 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for newly registered voters in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Oyo State, Prof. Adeniran Tella, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Ibadan.

Tella said the newly printed PVCs, which constituted the first batch for the state, would be distributed to eligible registrants across the 351 Registration Areas and wards in Oyo State.

He said the distribution and collection exercise would commence on Friday, October 9, and end on Thursday, October 15, giving eligible registrants seven days to collect their cards.

According to the REC, the exercise would take place daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., including weekends, across the designated Registration Areas and wards.

He urged all eligible registrants whose PVCs were included in the batch to participate in the collection exercise, stressing the importance of obtaining their cards ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Tella said the exercise was part of INEC’s preparations for the elections and was aimed at ensuring that newly registered voters received their PVCs in good time to participate in the electoral process.
