Shettima arrives in Ethiopia for nutrition leadership forum

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to lead Nigeria’s delegation to a nutrition leadership exchange forum scheduled for October 7 to 9.
Shettima is attending the Nigeria-Ethiopia Nutrition Leadership Exchange Forum at the invitation of Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh, who is spearheading Ethiopia’s multi-sectoral approach to improving nutrition.
The forum is expected to provide an opportunity for both countries to exchange experiences and strategies for strengthening nutrition delivery.
The Vice-President was received on arrival by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Nasir Aminu, alongside other Nigerian diplomatic officials and senior Ethiopian government representatives.
The Nigerian delegation includes Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal and Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi.
Also accompanying Shettima are the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari; and the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Zubaida Umar Abubakar.
Shettima is expected to return to Abuja after the conclusion of the forum.
