The Super Falcons are gearing up for their international friendly matches against Algeria’s Fennecs, with the team already taking shape following the arrival of key players.

Atlético Madrid forward Rasheedat Ajibade, Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and UD Tenerife forward Gift Monday have arrived at the team’s camp at Eko Hotels.

Other players are expected to join the camp later today, and Coach Justin Madugu will lead the team’s first training session this evening.

The squad is a mix of foreign-based and home-based players, carefully selected by the interim coach for the two-legged friendlies.

The matches are scheduled for the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Lagos Island on Saturday, 26th October, and Tuesday, 29th October.

These will be the Super Falcons’ first international friendlies on home soil since the Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament in 2021.

They last hosted Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project in Abuja in 2014.

The Algerian team is expected to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday.

These friendlies will mark the Super Falcons’ first regrouping since the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France this summer, following the departure of former coach Randy Waldrum.
