JUST IN: Adeleke in closed-door meeting with Tinubu at Presidential Villa

President Bola Tinubu is currently in a closed-door meeting with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Adeleke arrived at the forecourt of the Villa at about 5:20 p.m. on Thursday for his first meeting with the President since his re-election in the August 15 governorship election.
The governor arrived in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV, dressed in a navy blue traditional outfit and carrying a walking stick. He was accompanied by National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and other members of his team.
Those who accompanied Adeleke included Bamidele Salam, member of the House of Representatives representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency; Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Sunday Bisi; and the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State, Akinleye Kazeem.
The meeting comes days after Adeleke was declared winner of the August 15 governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Adeleke secured 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
On Wednesday, Adeleke received his Certificate of Return from INEC at a ceremony in Osogbo following his victory in the poll.
The closed-door meeting is the first known meeting between Tinubu and Adeleke since the governor secured a second term in office.
