JUST IN: Late Gov. Akeredolu’s wife reacts to Owo rites, rejects curses

By Boye Oyeyemi –
Betty Akeredolu, wife of the late former Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has said she is unbothered by the traditional rites recently performed by some traditionalists in Owo, the hometown of the late governor.
It would be recalled that Western Post earlier reported a viral video showing traditionalists in Owo chanting in the local dialect and invoking incantations while repeatedly mentioning Betty’s name.
Reacting to the development, the widow of the late governor took to her verified Facebook account to dismiss the incantations, declaring that she returns all curses to their senders.
She posted:
“Kidnappers are on the rampage in Owo and Ondo State in general, yet they didn’t bring out their carved wooden gods to curse them. It is the mother of their children they are cursing. 🤬 Naaaa! I return to sender 👉🏿👉🏿👉🏿👉🏿 Big time! Nothing do me! 🫣 Say no to #Barbarism and #FetishCurses.”
In another post, she wrote:
“I return #FetishCurses to senders. Nothing do me!”
Wrapping up her response, Betty added:
“Only a believer will be scared of carved wooden gods. AdaOwere1 no send!”
