JUST IN: Tinubu departs Abuja for Kano to mourn late business icon Aminu Dantata

By Kunle Sanni –

President Bola Tinubu on Friday departed Abuja for Kano State to condole with the family of the late business mogul and elder statesman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.

The visit is part of the President’s effort to personally extend his condolences following the death of the prominent industrialist, who passed away in June at the age of 94.

Dantata, known for his influence in business and philanthropic circles, was buried in Medina, Saudi Arabia, beside his late wife.

The President’s trip was confirmed in a statement by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who noted that the visit was in recognition of Dantata’s immense contributions to national development and his role as a bridge-builder across Nigeria’s diverse regions.
