JUST IN: Tinubu to address nation on Rivers State crisis tonight

President Bola Tinubu will deliver a nationwide broadcast today, focusing on the situation in Rivers State, the presidency has announced.

According to a statement from Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, the address will be aired at 7:00 PM.

It further said the broadcast will be transmitted by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

“All television and radio stations have been directed to link up with the broadcast.

The speech comes amid heightened political tensions in Rivers State, especially as news of pipeline explosion rocked part of the state.
