Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has denied claims of unruly behavior and breaching aviation protocol during a recent incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Kunle Rasheed, K1 described the allegations as false, exaggerated, and misleading, stressing that he was the victim of an unnecessary escalation.

“Our attention has been drawn to reports alleging that K1 De Ultimate caused a breach of aviation protocol while attempting to board a ValueJet flight on August 5. At no point did he act in a manner that endangered lives or violated any safety regulations,” the statement read.

It explained that the substance in question, which was mischaracterized in reports, was merely plain drinking water served to him at the airport lounge. Despite his efforts to clarify the situation respectfully, it was reportedly blown out of proportion.

The statement further debunked claims that K1 blocked the aircraft or disrupted flight operations, asserting that the renowned artiste is familiar with and adheres to aviation regulations, both locally and internationally.

It also noted that top airport and airline officials later reached out to K1, offering apologies and even arranging a private jet to fly him to Lagos, which he declined.

The statement concluded by urging the media and public to avoid sensationalism and allow facts to guide their judgment, reiterating that K1 remains a law-abiding citizen committed to cooperating with authorities to resolve the matter responsibly.
