Kaduna govt positions for global investment following engagements at UNGA80

The Government of Kaduna State has reaffirmed its commitment to economic transformation and global partnerships following Nigeria’s successful participation at the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80) in New York.
At a high-level side event themed “Global Partnerships, Local Prosperity: Unlocking Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Blueprint for Sustainable Growth”, the Federal Government, through the Renewed Hope Global Initiative, showcased Nigeria’s investment potential to global investors and development partners.
In recognition of the initiative’s impact, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, hosted the Renewed Hope Global team in a special appreciation meeting. He commended the team for projecting a positive image of Nigeria on the global stage and reaffirmed Kaduna’s readiness to attract and facilitate investments at the sub-national level.
“What Renewed Hope Global achieved in New York is historic. It has brought renewed global attention to Nigeria’s opportunities. Kaduna State is prepared to leverage this momentum and work with stakeholders to drive investments that will transform lives,” Governor Sani stated.
During the engagement, the Governor held strategic discussions with the team on investment prospects in Kaduna State, focusing on key sectors including agriculture, infrastructure, technology, and energy. He emphasized Kaduna’s ambition to be a model for sub-national economic reform aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
A high-level Investors’ Roundtable held at Nigeria House in New York further amplified interest in Kaduna and other Nigerian states. The session was attended by Nigeria’s U.S. Ambassador, Ambassador Samson Itegboje, senior government officials, and business leaders. Representatives from global firms such as LYNX and IQS expressed strong interest in expanding into Nigeria, pledging millions of dollars in prospective investments, particularly in technology-driven sectors.
Also present were Dr. Nurudeen Abubakar Zauro, Executive Secretary of the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion (PreCEFI), and other senior advisers to the President. The roundtable served as a platform for fostering direct engagement between Nigerian institutions and international investors.
Barrister Tosin Olayinka, Programme Director of Renewed Hope Global, acknowledged Kaduna State’s proactive approach and praised Governor Sani’s leadership. He reiterated the initiative’s commitment to supporting sub-national governments in unlocking sustainable development and inclusive growth.
