Kaduna Investment Agency visits WATTCCON’s Sodium Plant

Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Investment Promotion Agency, Khalil Nur Khalil, led the team on Friday paid a visit to WATTCCON, the pioneer Sodium Hypochlorite plant in West Africa.

The Investment Promotion Agency is saddled with the responsibility of attracting foreign and local Investments into the state. In the last 6 years, Kaduna State has attracted over $2bn in foreign investment with multinationals like Olam setting up factories in the state.

During the visit to WATTCCON, Khalil and his team were conducted round the factory with a capacity of 40,000 liters per day and expected to create over 100 direct jobs upon commencement of operations.

On completion, the Sodium plant will be the biggest plant in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Team met with the management to understand encumbrances and highlight areas KDSG can support the investors to ensure the investment is sustained and eventually expands.
