Kenya to host CHAN 2024 grand finale

The grand finale of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be held in Kenya on August 30, 2025.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday officially released the schedule for the 19-team tournament, designed exclusively for players who compete in their domestic leagues.
The championship, which has experienced multiple postponements, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, and is set to run from August 2 to 30.
While Kenya will stage the final match, the opening game will take place in Tanzania, and Uganda will host the third-place playoff.
Participating teams have been grouped into four: Groups A to C have five teams each, while Group D contains four teams.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are in Group D, based in Zanzibar, alongside Senegal, Congo, and Sudan.
Group A, based in Nairobi, includes Kenya, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, and Zambia. Dar es Salaam will host Group B, featuring Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic.
Group C matches will be held in Kampala, with Uganda, Niger Republic, Guinea, South Africa, and Algeria competing.
