Keyamo signs performance bond with new aviation agencies leaders

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Friday, signed a performance bond with the newly appointed Agency’s Chiefs and Directors.
The performance bond is a document that outlining the expectations and responsibilities of the new leaders and holding them accountable for their actions was signed during an induction programme organised by the aviation ministry.
Keyamo said that the performance bond was a way to ensure transparency and accountability in the aviation sector. He said that he would not tolerate any corrupt practices and would hand over anyone found involved in such acts to law enforcement. He also added that the performance bond would help to measure the progress and achievements of the new leaders and their agencies.
The minister also congratulated the new leaders and urged them to align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said that the President had approved significant leadership changes to elevate Nigeria’s aviation sector standards and ensure consumer protection.
He went on to outline his five-point agenda for the aviation sector, which includes safety, quality, infrastructure, capacity, and revenue generation.
The Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, also addressed the audience and commended the minister for his efforts in improving airport infrastructure and service delivery.
She charged the new leaders to work hard and deliver on their mandates. She said that the citizens’ appraisal would be used to judge their performance and that the Ministry would seek dynamic collaborations and partnerships with international economic organizations and leading enterprises.
