Kwara: Community commends Govt over Oowu Waterfalls road construction

The people of Owa-Onire, a community in the Ile-Ire district of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, have expressed their appreciation to the Kwara State government for development projects across the state, particularly the construction of the Oowu Waterfalls road.

This was stated in a release by the Chairman of the Owa-Onire Central Planning Committee, Mallam Saka Ogunbiyi, a copy of which was made available to Western Post in Ilorin on Tuesday.

The community highlighted that the various projects undertaken by the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led administration have the potential to enhance the socioeconomic well-being of the people and elevate the state to greater heights.

“It is our fervent belief and prayer that these monumental projects across the state will further encourage Your Excellency’s strong desire to steer the state toward the enviable progress we have yearned for over the years,” the statement read.

The people of Owa-Onire also congratulated Governor Abdulrazaq on the successful conduct of the recent Local Government Elections in the state. They noted that the victory in the LGA polls reflects the people’s appreciation for the current administration and its leadership style.

Similarly, the Onire of Owa-Onire, Oba Ramonu Lawal Ifabiyi III, along with the entire Owa-Onire community, extended their congratulations to Governor Abdulrazaq on his recent conferment of the traditional title of Sadauna Ngeri of Ilorin by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Zuluqanaini Gambari (OON).

The community acknowledged that the prestigious title is a testament to the governor’s integrity, dedication, and commitment to the progress of both Ilorin and Kwara State.

“Your Excellency’s leadership style and selfless service have earned you this well-deserved and highly respected traditional title, which will further strengthen unity and trust, not only within the Ilorin community but across Kwara State at large,” the statement concluded.
