Kwara Govt announces alternative routes as construction begins on post office-emir-Isale Oja roads

Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport has announced alternative routes to ease traffic congestion as construction works begin on the Post Office-Emir- Road-Isale Oja Roads.
The construction work, which had earlier been approved by the state government, is part of the urban renewal projects of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Works and Transport Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo in Ilorin on Tuesday.
“We advise that commuters make use of alternative routes in Taiwo Isale, Edun, Obo Road, Niger Road, Opomalu, Centre Igboro, Balogun Fulani, and Bolanta Roads to connect other parts of the Ilorin metropolis while the re-construction is ongoing.
“To effect the smooth commencement of re-construction on these roads, we also advise residents to remove all vehicles on both sides of the construction routes.
“While we acknowledge the inconveniences that commuters and residents may experience during the reconstruction of these roads, we seek cooperation and patience as the government builds a resilient infrastructure and lasting legacy for our beloved State.
“We appreciate His Excellency for committing to building safer, smoother, and more beautiful roads that will grow our state’s economy.”
“The dual carriageway on the Emir’s Road was started by the Adamu Attah administration and was completed by Group Captain Salaudeen Adebola Olatinwo.
“This is the first major reconstruction work on the road since the Latinwo years.”It added
