Kwara kingmakers, stakeholders commend Gov AbdulRazaq, back Danladi’s candidacy

A high-ranking chief and Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Aliyu Adebayo, has commended the developmental strides of the Kwara State Government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, citing investments in basic infrastructure.

Adebayo, who is a senior member of the Ilorin Emirate kingmakers’ council, said the administration had improved access to potable water, roads and health care, compared with what residents experienced under previous governments.

He spoke on Sunday in Ilorin when the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate, Speaker Yakubu Danladi Salihu, and other party candidates paid a thank-you visit to stakeholders in Ilorin East Local Government Area.

The traditional chief said Danladi would build on AbdulRazaq’s achievements if elected, expressing confidence that the APC candidate would secure overwhelming support from residents of Ilorin East and the wider emirate.

At the Palace of the Balogun Gambari, the Magaji Aare, Alhaji Shuaib Aremu Zubair, as well as Alanguas and Magajis from the district, were present during the meeting, where the stakeholders pledged their support for Danladi.

Similarly, the Balogun Fulani, Alhaji Sidiq Abubakar Atiku Fulani, expressed support for Danladi and other APC candidates, while Alangua Opolo and Chairman of the Alangua and Magaji Forum, Alhaji Zulkarnaini AbdulRahman, urged the gubernatorial candidate to prioritise the welfare of village heads if elected.

Meanwhile, the Senior Adviser and Counsellor to the governor, Alhaji Sa’adu Salau, commended the traditional chiefs for their hospitality and support for Danladi’s candidacy, saying their position was consistent with the direction of the Emir of Ilorin.

The APC delegation later held a town hall meeting with party stalwarts and supporters from Ilorin East and Ilorin South, where Danladi appreciated the traditional chiefs, party members and stakeholders for their support and expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious at the polls.
