Kwara LG election: Gov Abdulrazaq lauds electoral process

…declares democracy firmly rooted in the state.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has lauded the voter turnout for Saturday’s local government elections, affirming that democracy is firmly established in the state.
“From what we can see here, the turnout is impressive. Democracy has come to stay,” the governor declared after casting his vote at Idigba Polling Unit 004 in Adewole Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area, at approximately 10:55 a.m.

Governor Abdulrazaq described the electoral process as peaceful and well-organized, commending the electorate for their participation. He also praised security agencies for their professionalism, urging them to continue maintaining order throughout the election.
“The conduct of the security agencies has been commendable,” Abdulrazaq noted. “I encourage them to keep up the good work to ensure a peaceful election process.”
In a similar development, the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Elder Kayode Alabi, cast his vote at the First ECWA Primary School in Oro-Ago, located in Ifelodun Local Government Area. Alabi’s participation further emphasized the administration’s commitment to a democratic and transparent election.
