Kwara pupils win Presidential Debate for third time under Gov AbdulRazaq

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has celebrated the four public school pupils who emerged winners of the President’s School Debate Championship on Thursday in Abuja.
The victorious team comprised 10-year-old Ajibulu Esther of Tanke LGEA School B, Ilorin South LGA; 12-year-old Akanbi Al-Amin of St. Cyprian LGEA Primary School, Offa, Offa LGA; 12-year-old Paul Unity of Bishop Smith LGEA School A, Ilorin East LGA; and 12-year-old Abdulrahman Fatimoh of Okesuna LGEA Primary School A, Ilorin East LGA.
This marks the third consecutive time Kwara State has won the prestigious debate under Governor Abdulrazaq’s administration, reflecting steady progress in the basic education sector and the dedication of school leaders, teachers, and parents.
Team Kwara defeated Benue State in the finals after excelling in the preliminary stages against competitors from other states.
Governor Abdulrazaq praised the pupils for their outstanding achievement, which has placed them in the national hall of fame alongside previous champions from Kwara who have also performed admirably on the global stage.
“This accomplishment, like the previous ones, reinforces our commitment to investing in public school education as the surest way to secure a brighter future for the Kwara child among their peers globally,” the Governor said.
“These victories reassure us that we are on the right path. I thank our pupils, teachers, parents, and all stakeholders in the public school system for their hard work and support.
“Specifically, I commend Prof. Sheu Raheem Adaramaja and his SUBEB team for their relentless efforts. This is another collective win, and we must not lose momentum.”
The Governor also expressed optimism about the future of the young champions, praying for their good health and long lives to fulfill their lofty dreams.
