Lagos APC alleges internal sabotage in recent terror attacks

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that recent terror attacks across the country are being aided by “insiders,” claiming that elements within Nigeria’s security architecture may be sabotaging national efforts in collaboration with external actors.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Lagos APC spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, warned that “traitors within the system” were enabling terrorists to strike with unusual precision.

Oladejo said Nigeria was at a “decisive historical moment,” not because of weakness, but due to the actions of “enemies of the state, saboteurs in high places, and foreign instigators” who believe they can influence the country’s stability.

He said, “There is no magic or mystery when terrorists successfully launch attacks despite advanced intelligence capabilities and strong security alerts. This is nothing short of internal sabotage. It clearly shows supposed protectors working hand-in-glove with aggressors.”

According to him, the accuracy and timing of the recent attacks suggest operational leaks from within the security system.

“Only insiders can compromise operations so precisely. Only traitors leak movement details so accurately. Only saboteurs deliberately create gaps that enemies exploit. This is not incompetence — it is collaboration,” he alleged.

Oladejo further cited what he described as a pattern of compromise, including “terrorists striking soft targets with uncanny precision,” the “deliberate weakening or standing down of checkpoints at critical hours,” and a “surge in attacks immediately after external provocations.”

He warned that those allegedly undermining national security would eventually be uncovered, saying: “Your game is up. Your betrayal is noted. Your network will be exposed. Your sponsors — local or foreign — will be disgraced.”
