Lagos APC endorses Southwest governors’ call for state police

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown its weight behind South-West Governors advocating for the swift establishment of State Police across Nigeria.
In a statement released by its spokesman, Seye Oladejo, the party described the demand as “timely, logical, and inevitable.”
The Lagos APC asserted that only “enemies of peace” would oppose a reform designed to strengthen community-level security.
“The security challenges facing the country require multi-layered solutions,” the statement read.
“A properly designed and professionally regulated State Police force would bring security closer to the people, improve intelligence gathering, and deter crime in real-time”, said the statement.
Concluding the endorsement, the party emphasized, “The security of our people is non-negotiable. The time for State Police is now.”
