Massive turn out as Lagos women rally for Tinubu

Thousands of women on Monday held a rally for the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Lagos Island.
The women trooped out in large number to show their solidarity for the former Lagos State governor.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, speaking at the occasion said women are at the forefront of the campaign for Asiwaju Tinubu to become the next president of Nigeria.
The governor said: “APC in Lagos and Nigeria is a great party. This is a little sample we just came out to show them.
“We have shown them today that it is our women that is at the forefront of this struggle and it shall be well with all of you. “We thank you for what you are doing. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is very appreciative of what you have done today.
“Senator Kashima Shettima is also appreciative of what you have done. My deputy and myself are very appreciative. You have come to show today that you are the real voters, you are the real reason for government . God will bless you and God will bless your home.”
The women rally for Tinubu which shut down vehicular movement on Lagos Island had the wife of the governor, Dr. Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, wife of the state deputy governor in attendance.
Others at the rally include: Lagos APC chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, former Deputy Governor Oluranti Adebule, and Lagos APC Women Leader, Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, among others.
The women who spotted different colourful T-Shirts with Tinubu’s insignia, chanted various solidarity songs in support of Tinubu/Shettima Presidency in 2023.
The women also expressed support for the second term bid of Governor Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy.
