LAHA 2023: I’ll seek God’s direction before declaring my intention- Lagos APC Chieftain

A businessman and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state, Oluwatosin Onamade, has said that he awaits God’s direction on his rumoured aspiration for the state House of Assembly.

Onamade made this disclosure during a media chat with journalists on Friday at his residence in Ijede area of Ikorodu.

“The past few weeks have been a very positive one for me as I have received so many words of encouragement and requests from families, friends, loved ones and some political leaders urging me to declare my intentions to put myself forward and participate in this coming 2023 elections.

“I am deeply touched by the resilience of my teeming supporters who have overwhelmed my phone with plenteous calls to indicate their undying love and support for me, and hundreds of our youth populace who are eagerly anticipating my announcement to this effect”, said Onamade.

While dismissing claims that he has secretly declared his intentions to run for any particular position in the, Onamade stated that he has decided to seek the divine guidance and direction of the Almighty God before making any declarations.

He said that he would declare his intention very soon, but that he must seek God’s direction before doing so.

“My sincere appreciation to everyone, who has reached out to me, including my friends in United Kingdom, the United States of America and several other countries across the globe. God bless you all.

“May I use this opportunity to state that I am taking my time praying and seeking direction from GOD. There is also need for me to consult and seek direction from my leaders and mentors all over. All my political leaders and associates must also be consulted.

“Based on my years of experience and growth in politics, all my actions have been consciously targeted towards knowing the true needs of the electorates, the constituents and by extension, my constituency. I must be sincere enough to check if I fit into the mode of one who can honestly solve the challenges bedeviling Ikorodu constituency II, and bring about the needed change without fear or sentiment,” said Onamade.
