LASG organises training for staff on mental health, general wellbeing

 

The Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has organised a training session for its personnel on mental health and general well-being to reaffirm the Ministry’s mandate to create sustainable wealth for Lagos residents.

Speaking at the two-day event held in Alausa, the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Akinyemi Bankole Ajigbotafe stated that Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s administration has a huge expectation of members of staff to justify the huge investment in their well-being and development.

The Commissioner, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Biodun Onayele stated that the training of staff would help to achieve the expectations of the present administration and further create a conducive working environment.

He averred that a happy staff is ever productive and will perform optimally, contributing positively to the growth of the Ministry and the State.a

Onayele added that the government prioritises staff well-being, which is crucial to achieving the vision for the Stats.

The Commissioner added that the training was the third of its kind in the Ministry, and over the next two years, more topics would be explored for mental health programmes.
