Lawmaker facilitates borehole projects for Oyo communities in remembrance of late Alaafin

A Member of the House of Representatives representing Afijio/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West Federal Constituency, Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi, has facilitated the provision of portable water projects to five communities across Oyo Federal Constituency.

The initiative, carried out in honour of Atanda Olayiwola Omo Ibironke, saw the installation of solar-powered boreholes in communities located within Afijio, Atiba, Oyo West, and Oyo East Local Government Areas.

According to the lawmaker, the intervention is aimed at improving access to clean water and enhancing the wellbeing of residents in the benefiting communities.

In his remarks, he disclosed that providing water for the people remains a vital aspect of community development, adding that the gesture serves as a tribute to the legacy of the late Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III.

Adeyemi further expressed optimism about the future of the constituency, reaffirming his commitment to initiatives that improve the quality of life for constituents.
