Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has unveiled a statewide political mobilisation platform to support the re-election of Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The initiative, known as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, was inaugurated on Tuesday in Akure as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots political engagement across the state.

Aiyedatiwa described the programme as more than a symbolic exercise, noting that it represents a coordinated structure designed to drive political participation from the ward to the community level.

“This is not just an unveiling, but the activation of a movement built on organisation and disciplined mobilisation,” the governor said.

He explained that the platform would serve as a vehicle for promoting government policies and mobilising support across all 18 local government areas of the state.

“Mobilisation is not about noise-making; it is about structure, coordination and clarity of purpose,” Aiyedatiwa added.

Speaking at the event, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who serves as the general director of the group, described the initiative as a strategic national project aimed at securing Tinubu’s second term, expressing confidence in a decisive victory in 2027.

Also speaking, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman in Ondo State, Babatunde Kolawole, said the gathering was aimed at consolidating existing political strength rather than launching a campaign, while the state coordinator, Victor Olabimtan, noted that the platform would focus on grassroots enlightenment, countering misinformation, and engaging citizens through town hall meetings and community outreach.
