M.I gets lead acting role in ‘Gammy and Living Things’

Nigerian rapper and record label executive, Jude M.I Abaga, has landed his first lead acting role in a new 3D animation titled Gammy and Living Things.
M.I plays the role of the lead character, Gammy, in the film.
The rapper and Chocolate City boss also joins TuFace, Made Kuti, Timi Dakolo, Waje, Ric Hassani, Praiz, Johnny Drille, and Goya Menor on the 13-track soundtrack album for the animation, titled Rites of Passage.
The soundtrack album also features timeless works from legendary veterans, including Blakky, Ras Kimono, Majek Fashek, The Mandators, and William Onyeabor.
According to the writer and director, Ikem Isiekwena, Gammy and Living Things is more than a movie but a statement of pride in African creativity.
The film is scheduled for cinema release on Friday, September 5, 2025.
