The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement and incumbent Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has appointed Barrister Anthony Ehilebo as his special adviser on media and digital communication ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser on Media to the governor, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the appointment takes immediate effect.
In the statement, Makinde described Ehilebo, a lawyer and communication strategist, as an asset to the APM campaign, saying his expertise would help strengthen the party’s communication strategy ahead of the presidential election.
The governor said Ehilebo’s experience would be instrumental in projecting the party’s message of resetting Nigeria and mobilising support for the APM as the 2027 election approaches.
Makinde further urged Nigerians to support the APM, describing the 2027 presidential election as an opportunity for citizens to change the political direction of the country.
Meanwhile, he criticised the administration of the ruling All Progressives Congress, describing its leadership as failed, and called on Nigerians to support the APM as an alternative political platform.
“With unity, courage, and determination, we will reclaim Nigeria’s destiny and deliver the future our people deserve,” Makinde said.
The governor added that the party would continue to mobilise Nigerians around its message while strengthening its campaign structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election, stressing that further announcements on the campaign team would be made in due course.
