Makinde makes fresh appointments across key sectors

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has sent the name of the Permanent Secretary for General Administration, Dr Olabode Taiwo Ladipo, to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as commissioner-nominee.
Similarly, the governor also approved a new wave of appointments across different government sectors in the state.
Arc. Ifeoluwa Akande was named Chairman of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee.
Honourable Isola Abiodun Adekunle was appointed as Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs, while Hon Oladejo Emmanuel Oladokun was named Part-Time Member of the Local Government Service Commission.
The appointments were contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi (PhD), and are expected to take effect from July 1, 2026.
According to the state government, the restructuring is aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening coordination within the public service.
Meanwhile, Governor Makinde congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedicated service.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to effective governance, institutional stability, and continued development across Oyo State.
