Man defiles three-year-old minor in Ogun

A grave incident involving the alleged defilement of a three-year-old girl has been reported by the Odeda Division of the Ogun State Police Command.
The distressing event took place on March 1, 2025, around 11:00 AM, when 20-year-old Alaba Abdullahi contacted local authorities from the Orile-Ilugun police outpost.
According to reports, Abdullahi accused 25-year-old Muniru Haruna, a resident of the same locality, of committing the act while the young victim was playing nearby. The situation came to light when Abdullahi heard her daughter crying and rushed to investigate, only to find her emerging from Haruna’s room in visible distress.
Upon examination, it was noted that the child had difficulty walking and showed clear signs of physical trauma. Medical forms have been issued, and police are currently awaiting the results from healthcare professionals.
Haruna has been taken into custody but has denied the allegations against him. The case has been referred to the Division Crime Branch for further investigation and will be sent to the State CID Eleweran upon completion of preliminary inquiries.
Reacting to the incident, the Ogun State Police Command expressed its commitment to ensuring justice for the victim, emphasizing that the safety and well-being of the community, particularly children, are of utmost importance.
