Bolaji, the managing editor of a book ‘Media, Governance and Culture’, praised Rahman’s remarkable career, stating that he built his reputation in some of Nigeria’s foremost media organisations, including ThisDay, The Punch, and Daily Times, where he earned recognition as a skilled editor and respected media practitioner.

He also highlighted Rahman’s entrepreneurial achievement in establishing Western Post Newspaper in 2015, describing the publication as one that has evolved into a prominent and influential voice in Nigeria’s media landscape.

The media practitioner equally commended Rahman’s role in public service, particularly his appointment as Senior Special assistant on Media and Special Duties to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, where he continues to contribute to public communication and governance.

According to Bolaji, Rahman’s commitment to excellence is further reflected in his academic and professional development, including executive training at Harvard University and the attainment of a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which underscore his dedication to leadership and professional growth.

Reflecting on Rahman’s literary contributions, Bolaji recalled his invaluable support during the production of the book ‘Festschrift,’ organised to celebrate the 75th birthday of respected cultural icon, Oloye Lekan Alabi, noting that Rahman’s prologue in the publication stood out as a highlight, showcasing his mastery of words and depth of intellectual insight.

Bolaji described Rahman at 60 as “unstoppable,” stressing that his resilience, vision, and unwavering dedication to journalism and public service have left a lasting impact on Nigeria’s media and governance landscape.

He further expressed optimism that Rahman would continue to mentor younger journalists and contribute meaningfully to national development in the years ahead.
