Media personality Roby Ekpo speaks on 11-year marriage crash, alleges deception

Nigerian media personality Roby Ekpo has spoken about the collapse of his marriage to his estranged wife, Mayowa Lambe, accusing her of infidelity, deception and financial strain.

Ekpo, who appeared in an episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, said he was shocked to discover that his wife had remarried another man after more than a decade together.

“After 11 years of marriage, I woke up to videos and pictures of my wife on Instagram getting married to another man,” he said.

The comedian and radio presenter alleged that Lambe misled him throughout their marriage, including concealing her use of contraceptives.

“I am 48 years old, I don’t have a kid, I started going for tests because I thought I was the problem, I thought I had fertility issues. I later found out that she was taking contraceptives,” he said.

He also claimed she deceived him about undergoing medical procedures aimed at conception, saying she once told him she travelled for surgery that would help her conceive.

Ekpo further alleged that communication between them became strained over time, adding that even simple interactions were questioned. “If I send my wife a message on her Instagram DM, she would question me why I was sending a message there,” he said.

He added that he continued to support her financially throughout the marriage despite limited earnings, while also describing emotional strain and long periods of separation before their final disconnection.
