Meet the new Director-General of NIA, Ambassador Mohammed
President Bola Tinubu on Monday, approved the appointment of new a Director-General for the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). He is Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President, Media and Publicity, announced Ambassador Mohammed’s appointment.
Here is what we know about the new NIA DG.
Ambassador Mohammed is a graduate of Bayero University, Kano.
He joined the NIA in 1995 and had served in various capacities, including Director of Programmes at the Directorate of Technical AID Corps (DTCA) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ambassador Mohammed served in various countries, including North Korea, Pakistan, Sudan, and at the State House, Abuja. He was at a time the head of the Nigerian mission to Libya.
An indigene of Lafiagi, the Kwara-born diplomat was until his appointment the head of the Nigerian mission to Sudan.
