Kwara Speaker reiterates commitment to welfare of constituents

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has reiterated his commitment to ensuring the welfare, well-being, and overall productive living of his constituents.
He affirmed this commitment during a routine visit to the people of Bwen/Kiyoru and Kpura/Yakira wards in his constituency in the Baruten Local Government Area of the state.
Addressing a crowd that included stakeholders from various communities in the wards—comprising youths, women, and a significant number of prominent individuals—the Speaker emphasized that these visits are based on the invaluable thoughts, concerns, and feedback of his constituents, which necessitate regular meetings.
He explained that meetings of this nature have helped him stay informed and grounded in his mission to address pressing issues for the people in the 10th House Assembly, which he currently presides over.
The Speaker promised to continue fostering inclusive representation for the people of the community and beyond. He also used the forum to urge the people to continue supporting the government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as a show of appreciation for the administration’s achievements, including federal and state infrastructure projects in the local government area.
He further implored the community to be law-abiding and prioritize security as a shared responsibility for all.
The Speaker praised the commitment and support of traditional rulers and political stakeholders in the area, urging them to continue their grassroots cooperation with the current administration.
Discussing the upcoming September 21 local government elections in the state, Danladi appealed to his constituents to turn out in large numbers and vote for the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to ensure a comprehensive victory for the party.
He also commended the understanding and maturity demonstrated by various stakeholders in selecting the party’s candidates for the local government elections in their wards.
In response to Danladi’s remarks, various speakers at the forum praised him for consistently keeping them informed about developments and projects in the state. They assured the Speaker of their full support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the party leadership, promising to participate actively and vote for the APC in the forthcoming local government elections.
