MINILS Director-General praises President Tinubu’s address on protests

The Director-General of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Issa Aremu, has praised President Bola Tinubu’s recent public address on the #EndBadGovernance protests.
According to a report by PREMIUM TIMES, Aremu highlighted that the address provided a platform for a pan-Nigerian conversation about good governance.
Aremu noted that while periodic crises are inherent to nation-building, the critical factor is the lessons learned by both the government and citizens to advance the nation at each crisis point.
He commended President Tinubu for acknowledging the pain and frustration driving the protests and for committing to addressing the citizens’ concerns.
“I have no doubt that the protesting compatriots also heard the president calling for conversation; let them seize the window and table all issues to promote good governance,” Aremu reportedly said.
“Given the antics of some misguided youths calling for the return of the discredited military dictatorship, it is time for a mass literacy campaign on the imperatives of democracy for good governance,” he said.
WESTERN POST Online reported Sunday that President Tinubu addressed the protesters urging them to suspend their demonstrations.
