The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, conducted an inspection tour of several key developmental and innovation projects at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) on Friday.
The inspection which took place on Wednesday, as highlighted on the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria’s (FAAN) official X account, focused on the newly renovated E-Wing toilet and the extensive work carried out in the E-Departure area.
These upgrades are part of FAAN’s broader efforts to improve passenger experience and enhance operational efficiency at Nigeria’s airports.
The renovation of the E-Wing toilet, completed by Max Impact Africa, was specifically noted as a benchmark for future projects under FAAN’s ongoing initiatives.
The inspection also coincided with the launch of the FAAN Private Sector Collaboration and Renovation Initiative, a pivotal element of the Minister’s 5-point agenda. This initiative, led by FAAN’s Managing Director, seeks to leverage private sector expertise to drive infrastructural improvements across the country’s airports.
In his address, Minister Keyamo expressed optimism about the potential of this partnership-driven approach to transform Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure. He emphasized that the initiative is in line with FAAN’s commitment to excellence and innovation in service delivery, aiming to elevate Nigeria’s airports to international standards.
The ultimate goal, according to the Minister, is to ensure an enhanced passenger experience and improved operational efficiency across the nation’s aviation sector.
