Motorcyclist loses life in lone crash on Christmas Eve in Ondo

A yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist has died in a lone crash that occurred on Christmas Eve at the Gaga axis of Oke Aro in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The accident was said to have happened around 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday when the rider reportedly lost control of his motorcycle while speeding along the route.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that the middle-aged man, who was riding a Hajue Suzuki motorcycle, rammed his head against a concrete structure before plunging into a drainage.

The force of the impact was said to have left the rider lifeless, with residents who rushed to the scene discovering that he had already died from injuries sustained in the crash.

It was gathered that no form of identification was found on the victim at the scene, as his identity remained unknown at the time of filing this report.

Officials of the Nigeria Police Force from the B Division, Oke Aro, later arrived at the location to evacuate the corpse for further procedures.
