NAF schools to benefit from TETFund support — Official

Educational institutions under the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) are set to benefit from additional support from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s tertiary education sector.
According to a report by The Guardian Nigeria, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, to the Fund’s headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.
The visit focused on consolidating and strengthening the long-standing partnership between TETFund and the Nigerian Air Force, with both organisations reaffirming their commitment to improving technical and academic development within NAF institutions.
Speaking during the meeting, the Chief of Air Staff commended TETFund for its sustained interventions in Air Force educational institutions, noting that the agency’s support has significantly improved infrastructure, boosted research activities, and enhanced training opportunities for personnel and students.
He added that the renewed collaboration would further promote capacity building, innovation, and knowledge development across Nigerian Air Force schools.
In his response, Echono highlighted the critical role of the Nigerian Air Force not only in safeguarding national security but also in advancing education through its academic institutions.
He also reaffirmed TETFund’s commitment to continued intervention, revealing that new projects including staff accommodation and infrastructure development have already been captured in the Fund’s plans for the year.
