NBBF unveils D’Tigress preliminary squad for 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket

Ahead of the 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has unveiled the preliminary squad for the senior women’s national team, D’Tigress, as preparations officially commence to defend their title.
As part of the roadmap for the championship, the team will open training camp with a series of structured activities, including the much-anticipated homecoming games.
These exhibition matches will serve both as a celebration of the team’s success and as a key platform to evaluate player performances as the technical crew works toward final roster selection.
The NBBF reaffirmed its commitment to assembling the strongest possible team to represent Nigeria, with the ultimate goal of defending their continental dominance and bringing home another Afrobasket title.
Preliminary Squad List:
Precious Amukamara (PG), Ezinne Kalu (PG), Ifunaya Okoro (CG), Elizabeth Balogun (SG/F), Grace Efosa (SG/F), Solape Amusan (G/F), Abiodun Damilola Yusuf (G/F), Adenike Olawuyi Olayemi (F), Amy Okonkwo (F/PF), Nicole Enabosi (F/PF).
Others are Pallas Kunayi (PF), Murjanatu Musa (PF), Gift Uchenna (PF), Victoria Macaulay (PF/C), Christabel Ezumah (PF/C), Izoje Uche (PF/C), Lauren Ebo (C), Ugonne Onyiah (C), Vera Ojenuwa (C), and Blessing Ejiofor (C).
