NCDMB trains 50 Kaduna youths in GSM phone repairs
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Ofy Multi Dynamic Ltd, has trained 50 youths in Kaduna State on GSM phone repairs and maintenance.
The two-week programme equipped participants with practical skills in phone hardware and software troubleshooting, screen and battery replacement, soldering, unlocking, flashing, virus removal and customer service, alongside basic business management.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, NCDMB said the initiative aligns with its mandate to promote skills acquisition and youth empowerment, noting that mobile phone repair remains a high-demand trade.
The facilitator from Ofy Multi Dynamic Ltd praised the trainees’ commitment, saying the skills would enable them to become job creators.
Participants expressed gratitude, describing the training as life-changing and said they were ready to start their own repair businesses.
They also received starter packs, including tool kits, certificates and financial support to help them begin work.
NCDMB reaffirmed its commitment to more vocational training programmes nationwide to reduce unemployment and build skilled manpower.
