NELFUND disburses N136.7 million to Joseph Sarwan Tarka University, Makurdi

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the disbursement of N136,786,650 (One hundred thirty-six million, seven hundred eighty-six thousand, six hundred fifty Naira) to Joseph Sarwan Tarka University, Makurdi, Benue State. This financial intervention is set to benefit 2,222 students, easing their burden of educational expenses.
This milestone reflects the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, under the Renewed Hope Agenda, to empower Nigerians through education and create a more knowledgeable and self-reliant populace.
NELFUND, a government initiative providing interest-free loans to eligible students, has remained committed to breaking financial barriers hindering access to higher education across the country.
The disbursement to Joseph Sarwan Tarka University was facilitated by the remarkable efforts of Senator Olanrewaju Tejuoso, the university’s Pro-Chancellor. His steadfast dedication ensured a seamless and efficient disbursement process, highlighting his commitment to the academic advancement of students.
