NFF hosts IMG team to discuss football development in Nigeria

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has hosted a delegation from the globally acclaimed International Management Group (IMG), signaling a commitment to enhancing Nigerian football at all levels.
The visit, aimed at fostering collaboration, included representatives from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The IMG team, led by Robyn Cox, Managing Director for Africa, included notable figures such as former Nigeria captain and NNPC Brand Ambassador Augustine Jay Jay Okocha, Rotimi Pedro (Managing Consultant, AfroSports), Femi Soneye (NNPC), Deji Omotoyinbo (veteran journalist and content creator), Olukayode Thomas, and six other representatives from IMG.
They were warmly received by NFF 2nd Vice President and NPFL Chairman, Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, alongside other top officials, including NFF General Secretary Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, Director of Media & Communications Dr. Ademola Olajire, Director of Finance & Administration Mr. Paulinus Anameje, Director of Legal Barrister Okey Obi, Director of Competitions Ms. Ruth David, Deputy Director of Technical Mrs. Faith Ben-Anuge, Head of Audit Mr. Godday Iyere, TMS Manager Mr. Nasiru Jibril, and Head of ICT Tasiu Riskuwa Shehu. The delegation also visited the NPFL offices during their stay.
The meeting served as a platform for both parties to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and outline objectives aimed at advancing Nigerian football. The discussions highlighted pathways for elevating the sport to new heights, with a focus on fostering a sustainable football ecosystem that could positively impact other industries.
Both teams expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting that it could lead to significant advancements for Nigerian football and its related sectors in the coming weeks and months.
