The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), and Hungary-based V Agency Sports Management have joined forces to enhance football scouting in Nigeria through education and technology.
At a workshop in Abuja, NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau acknowledged Nigeria’s lag in scouting and stressed the need for collaboration with V Agency to identify and promote local talent in Europe. He revealed that the partnership would be executed in three phases.
NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye highlighted the importance of integrating advanced technology to improve scouting operations and foster a more competitive football environment.
Hungarian Ambassador Lorand Endreffy pledged support for the initiative, emphasizing the need for grassroots talent development to produce world-class players.
The event covered topics such as scouting software, video analysis, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, aiming to transform Nigeria’s talent identification and player development processes.
