NFF President assures Flying Eagles of support at AFCON 2025

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has reiterated the federation’s commitment to supporting the U-20 men’s team, the Flying Eagles, to succeed at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be held in Cairo, Egypt.
Gusau gave this assurance during an interview with journalists in Katsina.
Speaking at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium after visiting the U-20 camp, the NFF president emphasized that the federation will do everything possible to ensure the team’s success at the U-20 AFCON.
He expressed delight with the team’s level of preparedness, highlighting his satisfaction with the players’ response to training.

“I am very pleased watching the boys in training. I can see in them the readiness and eagerness to represent the country well at the U-20 AFCON,” Gusau stated.
He noted that the three-week training camp in Katsina would help the players prepare adequately for the competition.
The NFF president thanked the Katsina State Government for hosting the team and praised the football-loving people of Katsina for their hospitality.
