Nigeria to unveil world-class football pitches within 18 months – Pinnick
Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick, has stated that Nigeria will soon boast football pitches of even higher standards than those seen at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Speaking on the ambitious project, Pinnick said the team behind Morocco’s world-class pitches is already in Nigeria.
“In the next 18 months, we will have five pitches matching the same Moroccan standard,” he said.
The former NFF boss revealed the locations set for transformation, listing the Warri City Stadium in Warri, two stadiums in Bayelsa State, the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, and the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja as venues that will undergo upgrades.
