The impressive performance of Nigerian international Ademola Lookman on his debut for Atletico Madrid has earned him accolades from veteran forward Antoine Griezmann.

The French international expressed his delight over the arrival and impressive debut performance of the Super Eagles winger.

Lookman, who completed his move to the Spanish giants on deadline day of the winter transfer window, wasted no time in making an impact, as he marked his debut with a goal in Atletico’s emphatic Copa del Rey victory over Real Betis.

Speaking after the game, Griezmann praised the club’s welcoming environment and the immediate integration of new signings into the squad.

“Regarding Lookman, the idea is to enjoy the new players and let them give us nights of joy like this one,” Griezmann said.
