Nigeria volleyball chief Nimrod appointed CAVB President

The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) has officially appointed Engineer Musa Nimrod as the President of the CAVB Beach Volleyball Commission. This significant appointment, made in Casablanca, Morocco, marks a pivotal moment for both Nimrod and the future development of beach volleyball across Africa.
In his acceptance speech, Nimrod outlined his vision for the sport, vowing to elevate beach volleyball to one of the premier sports on the continent. “With our collective efforts and strategic planning, we can unlock this sport’s immense potential,” he stated.
Nimrod, who also serves as the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, took the opportunity to commend the leadership of CAVB, particularly praising Madam Bouchra Hajij, the Board of Administration, and Engineer Habu Gumel, whom he referred to as the “father of volleyball” in Nigeria. He also acknowledged the contributions of Ali Yaro, President of CAVB Zone 3.
“I want to applaud the unwavering support and guidance from Madam Bouchra Hajij and Engineer Habu Gumel. Their dedication to the sport has been instrumental in our progress, and I look forward to collaborating closely with them to promote beach volleyball across Africa,” Nimrod expressed.
He concluded by recognizing Ali Yaro’s enduring support throughout the years, affirming, “The commission will work hand-in-hand with Madam Bouchra Hajij to ensure her dreams for beach volleyball on the continent become a reality.”
