Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), has extended a message of goodwill to Engineer Musa Nimrod on his recent appointment as President of the African Beach Volleyball Commission.

The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Board of Administration appointed Engineer Nimrod, who also serves as President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, during a recent meeting in Morocco.

NSC Chairman Dikko praised the appointment as well-deserved, citing Engineer Nimrod’s dedicated efforts in developing beach volleyball over the years.

“I am personally delighted by this news as it highlights the growing international recognition of our sports administrators, which is a positive step for sports development in Nigeria,” Dikko stated.

“Just last month, Mr. Wahid Enitan Oshodi was elected President of the African Table Tennis Federation at the ATTF General Assembly in Ethiopia. Now, Engineer Nimrod is representing us in volleyball.”

Dikko further emphasized that the NSC is committed to supporting various sports federations to achieve similar milestones on the international stage.

“The Sports Commission is determined to drive the sports sector towards consistent success, from grassroots initiatives to elite levels,” he concluded.
