President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday reassured Nigerians that the nation’s economy is on the path to recovery, urging citizens to remain patient and hopeful.
Speaking at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan during the coronation of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Tinubu said his administration was working to restore growth and prosperity.
“I greet the whole of Ibadan on today’s occasion. I once came to Mapo Hall to solicit your votes because Emi Lokan, and we are there now,” the President said.

Delivering what he described as “cheering news,” Tinubu told the gathering: “The economy has turned the corner. There is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Your suffering is like the pain of surgery, but it is now giving way to a moment of growth and prosperity that awaits us ahead. Thank you for your perseverance, thank you for your endurance, thank you for your understanding.”
The President also congratulated Oba Ladoja on his ascension, describing the event as a historic milestone for Ibadanland.
