Niniola pens emotional tribute to late husband, recounts widowhood experience

Two months after the death of her husband, Ndika Michael, Afrobeats singer Niniola Apata has shared an emotional tribute, opening up about the pain of widowhood.
In a post on her official Instagram page on Sunday, Niniola described her husband’s sudden death as devastating, saying she has struggled to cope with the loss of her husband, business manager and best friend.
She said although she lost her father at a young age, nothing prepared her for the reality of becoming a young widow, describing the experience as “hard and exceedingly difficult”.
The singer said some days have been manageable, while others have been filled with indescribable pain, as she continues to grapple with unresolved emotions and unfinished moments.
Despite her grief, Niniola said her faith in God has sustained her, adding that He continues to comfort and strengthen her even in moments of doubt and unanswered questions.
She also expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness and for giving her the strength to keep moving forward.
Niniola thanked her family, friends, fans, colleagues, media organisations and well-wishers for their prayers and support, praying that God would reward them and spare them from experiencing such pain.
