Not even military damaged Nigeria like APC has — Atiku

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration as the most damaging government he has seen in nearly four decades, saying its policies have harmed Nigeria’s national life and democratic progress more than previous military regimes.
Atiku made the remarks in Abuja on Tuesday during the public presentation of The Loyalist, a book authored by Bolaji Abdullahi, the national publicity secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
According to the former vice-president, the ADC represents a rare political convergence capable of restoring Nigeria’s unity and reviving its democratic institutions.
“We have a unique opportunity within the ADC as a political party. It brings together diverse political forces committed to reuniting Nigeria and renewing our democratic journey,” Atiku said.
He added that many of the attendees had originally contributed to the formation of the APC but had become disillusioned by its governance.
“Many of us here helped form the APC, hoping it would save the country, but it has not delivered. Just as we once took responsibility to create a political alternative, we must now unite again to build a party capable of rescuing Nigeria for the benefit of its citizens,” he said.
