NPFL Chairman Elegbeleye hails Sunday Dare’s appointment

The Chairman of the nation’s premier league, NPFL, Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, has congratulated former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Chief Sunday Akin Dare, on his recent appointment as Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Public Communication and National Orientation.

Elegbeleye, a former Director General of the National Sports Commission and member of the House of Representatives Sports Committee, commended President Tinubu for appointing Chief Dare. He described Dare as a renowned and experienced media expert who would bring significant value to the administration.

In a statement on Friday, Elegbeleye noted that President Tinubu made an excellent and commendable choice in Chief Dare, adding that the former minister has excelled in all his previous roles and possesses the experience needed to strengthen the media team responsible for promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration.

He said, “Chief Sunday Akin Dare is an illustrious media mogul whose nearly three decades of experience with both local and international media organizations has distinguished him in his various assignments.

“President Tinubu made a perfect choice in Chief Sunday Dare, given his extensive experience in the media industry. He is a tremendous asset to the president in media communication and national orientation, returning to a well-known terrain.

“His vast experience has made him exceptional in service to his country, especially during his recent tenure as Minister of Youth and Sports Development, where he implemented reforms that re-established Nigeria as a leading continental and global sporting nation.

“I have no doubt that Chief Sunday Dare will once again demonstrate his skill and wealth of experience in his new role, having consistently exceeded expectations in his previous positions.”
